The investment process of TreeTop Multi Strategies Dynamic aims to expose the portfolio to shares of companies while diversifying the sources of return between different investment styles, different regions, different sectors and different global managers.
The overall portfolio is divided between UCIs whose investment objective is to track stock indices (the ""Index Management Component"" of the portfolio) and actively managed UCIs whose investment objective is to select shares according to a manager-specific approach (the ""Active Management Component"").
The Index Management Component is invested in UCIs aiming to track stock indices as closely as possible and replicate the performance of largely diversified indices. The Active Management Component is mainly invested in UCIs managed or promoted by TreeTop Asset Management S.A. (the Management Company of TreeTop Multi Strategies Dynamic) or its affiliates. These UCIs have a more concentrated portfolio of stockes selected according to the manager-specific approach, regardless of whether they are part of a stock index.
The resulting portfolio of the investment process is an international portfolio, with a strong stocks component and largely diversified in terms of geographic and sector allocation. The ""stock"" risk can represent up to 100% of the overall portfolio.
There are no financial instruments without risk and investing is always taking a gamble on the future. In addition to errors in judgment, the numerous uncontrollable events of a political (political crisis, war...), economic, financial (banking crisis, monetary policy change…), technological (discovery causing profound changes...) or of a specific nature for each company (strategic error, competitive changes...) can seriously penalize a potentially interesting investment.
The most effective way to reduce risk is to diversify the sources of return and risk among the different asset classes, different regions, different economic sectors and different global managers.
Weighting of investments
The sub-fund will invest up to 100% of its assets in UCIs investing mainly in shares and other eligible financial assets whose performance is linked to shares.
Geographic and sector Diversification
The sub-fund may invest in securities from issuers anywhere in the world, including in emerging markets and across different sectors.
Main risk factors defining the risk level
The risk/reward rating of the sub-fund reflects the fact that it invests mainly in shares of UCIs investing in shares. But the price of shares is generally more volatile than the price of bonds or money market instruments.
Other risks to be considered
Moreover, it is also exposed to the following risks: Capital risk (the sub-fund is not subject to capital guarantee or capital protection), Currency risk (although the shares of UCIs held are denominated in EUR, the assets held may be denominated in various currencies depending on the markets in which these UCIs invest. Fluctuations in exchange rates between the euro and these various currencies will therefore have an influence on the NAV of the sub-fund), Risk associated with external factors (uncertainty relating to certain environmental elements, such as the tax regime).
